Practical information
This workshop will take place from the 10th to the 15th of
May 2026 at the Villa Clythia
in Fréjus, a small seaside town on the French Riviera (not
to be confused with the Fréjus tunnel in the Alps). The town is easily reachable by train. There
will be lifts on Sunday evening from the train station (St Raphael Valescure) to the Villa, and
buses back to the train station on Friday afternoon.
Presentation of the workshop
This workshop aims at bringing together mostly young
researchers to spend one week studying a topic in low
dimensional topology. Part of the week is dedicated to
detailed talks taking time to introduce the background of
the theory necessary to tackle more recent questions. Time
is voluntarily made available to encourage discussion that
the presentations will generate.
This is the sixth edition of the series "
Between the Waves".
The aim of this edition is to understand
the correspondence between the Reshetikhin-Turaev and Turaev-Viro TQFTs and its application to the volume conjecture.
